Hannah's Cancer Commercial: Young girl wants video to help kids deal with cancer

Hannahs Cancer Video

Sometimes it's easier for kids to learn from other kids, especially when it comes to something as complicated as cancer. But “Hannah's Cancer Commercial” offers so much more. Hannah's courageous yet casual demeanor will inspire anyone on a journey with cancer, whether a patient or loved one.
Meet 5-year-old Hannah Higgins, who is battling a form of kidney cancer that was diagnosed earlier this year at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. She's already undergone chemotherapy and surgery to remove her left kidney and part of her right one.
She wanted to create a video telling other children who have been diagnosed with cancer what they can expect from the disease and treatment. Most importantly, she tries to remove some of the fear associated with cancer.
In some ways, she probably does a better job than doctors of explaining what will happen because she talks in terms children can easily understand. Hopefully the video will help ease the fears of children about to enter an extremely trying time.

Hannah's Cancer Commercial shows once again that everyone has the power to make an impact on causes they support.
