With the NFL football season ready to begin this week, fans across the country who want to help end the hunger problem in America can feel free to frequently hope for a Green Bay Packers score.
Once again this football season the Packers and cheese manufacturer Sargento have teamed up to try to reduce the hunger problem in their backyard.
Every time the Packers score a touchdown, Sargento will donate money to two local organizations working to relieve the hunger problem in Milwaukee. Each touchdown will prompt a $1,000 donation to the Hunger Task Force and a $500 contribution to Paul's Pantry.
The Hunger Task Force provides supplies to food banks in Milwaukee, while Paul's Pantry operates in Brown County, which is where Green Bay is located.
This will be the 11th football season Sargento is donating money for Packers touchdowns. Thus far Sargento, based in Wisconsin, has contributed just shy of $1 million to local charities working to solve the hunger problem.
Care To Click realizes that Green Bay isn't everyone's favorite team, but the fact that they are donating money to help end the hunger problem should make every Packers score a little easier to stomach even for Chicago Bears fans.
